- I woke up at noon and had to physically run for the bus, major embarrassment in itself
- I accidentally/long story got peroxide in my eye and had to undergo severe pain while praying i would not have to call the chemical emergency hotline; which resulted in me having to go out in public with my GLASSES.
- After being seated comfortably on the bus for several minutes, I realized that i had forgotten my phone at home and had to endure a 45 minute walk back.
- The mcgill food services has been officially blacklisted in my books, because when dinnertime came around, the damn tim hortons was closed: i had to walk all the way to the one on sherbrooke which leads me to...
- The Tim Hortons gods are definitely not on my side and once again i did not win a free coffee. I really don't think its normally that someone like me who ingests 2 liters of coffee a day and never effing win anything.
- I witnessed a terrifying car crash. Which resulted in an ambulance carrying people away
- Im still studying for a class that i will inevitably do poorly in.

it's midweek
I have been an internet junkie this week and thanks to google, i have discovered the following:
- I am in fact allergic to red wine, and apparently it happens to a lot of people. It can be due to either the tannins or sulphites. Regardless, i self-diagnosed myself, and will refrain from drinking red wine.
- a baker's dozen= 13. I was always uncertain whether it was 12, or 13 so i finally did the research.
- the singer from postal service is the same singer from death cab (apparently everyone knew this except for me)
- the top 20 celebrity blogs and their links, some of the best ones were quite surprising.
- Lady Gaga (i actually hate her, but found myself reading about her) was one of 20 of the youngest people to get accepted to a prestigious music school in NYC
This is what happens when you have no homework for one week. If you wasted your time reading this at least you can now say that you know 5 random facts.

I walk for water
This is my third year celebrating Earth Month with Aveda, and as usual we are all participating in the "Walk for Water."
Its actually a really good cause; all the money raised goes towards creating access to fresh clean water for those in need. Basically we all walk for 6km, which is the average distance that someone in a developing country has to walk for fresh water EVERY DAY.
Here are some facts:
Every 15 seconds a child dies from water-related illnesses resulting in 6000 deaths per day.
Poor water quality cause 10 times more deaths last year than all the wars waged on the planet.
People in developing countries use approximately 10 liters of water a day, while the average person in the US uses 350.
If you have the time i recommend that you check the site, and im also hoping that you'll be generous enough to support me. You can donate at: www.iwalkforwater.ca
I believe they have a minimum donation of 5$, but anything you can give would be very much appreciated!
Here's a sweet pic from last year

zaffy's comment of the day
Ever since my sister moved out, she's always coming back home to learn how to cook. This sounds like something nice, but its very annoying for me, because i'm the one who has to eat the experimental dinner.
Today was nice though, we had Sergio and Aymeric over and we celebrated both their birthdays with what my mom called a "recession cake" aka the cheap frozen mccain cakes.
You see my mom can be a very humorous person, but what she said today is probably one of her best. She couldn't light the candles on the cake so i started complaining and took the lighter from her to do it myself. So there in front of everyone she said, (seriously this was too good to make up) "well sorry i don't know how to use a lighter, I'm not the one using it to smoke weed"
I think its safe to say that everyone at the table was surprised that she said that.
and now my mom thinks I'm a pot-head. beautiful.

"spring break"
I have come to the realization that I can only blog when I'm trying to procrastinate with my homework.
Spring break came and went (it wasn't spring and I didn't have a break) and now im stuck again at school withmountains of homework. If I see one more tan and relaxed person im going to lose it.
Aside from working and attempting to study, my last three days of spring break were pretty entertaining. I probably got a grand total of 7 hours of sleep.
summary:
friday: rockband party (it appears that my guitar skills increase with increasing beer consumption)
saturday: nuit blanche (walking outside in the cold, and getting cornered in a room full of cake by some cracked out artist, also enjoying the arts and crafts corner and Irish heritage)
sunday: masquerade party (fun party, bad decision. I was ruined monday morning)
I should also mention that the break included my worst fall of 2009, where I plummeted down a flight of stairs and landed in a pile of snow (im still recovering)
...as you can clearly see, I have nothing interesting to blog about, but i didnt want to get into a lack-of-blogging slump.
